The "Kayzer's Bar" belonging to Christian Thion is located in the extension to the old town gate of Ville de Reidy. Long ago one of Thion’s forefathers was the town’s gate keeper and lived therefore, with his entire family in the tower. Nowadays the tower is empty and no longer serves as the town’s gate. Christian stores his barrels of beer underneath and each floor contains items that he puts outside during the Christmas market to catch people’s attention. Christian is one of seven children, but not one of them fancied living in a mediaeval building with high maintenance requirements and which is difficult to keep warm in the winter.
So Christian opened the "Kayzer's Bar", in what was initially an extension. Almost the whole town visits the "Kayzer's Bar". Gwendoline and Stephan Jonas enjoy a nightcap there in the evening when the guests have left the restaurant. Neither of the farming families have late nights, because their tasks await them in the early morning. Vincent Forbach and Michael Solange sometimes meet up in the "Kayzers Bar" over day, in between their duties, and discuss their businesses and the future of the farming profession.
Even Francois Stirner from wine shop "In Vino Veritas", who spends all day long surrounded by alcoholic drinks, still sometimes enjoys a clear beer from the tap late in the evening. But the real party begins for Christian, when quiet reigns at "Hotel de Ville" belonging to Yvette and Louis Bayon and his two friends visit him in his bar. At these times life is good and the future is bright.
